Diabetes is a condition that can affect you for the rest of your life. While a lot of people might know what a diabetes diagnosis might mean for their overall health, they might not understand exactly what diabetes can do to their eyesight. OHIP will cover diabetics for a full eye exam once per year.

How We Examine Your Eyes

Our practice is equipped with state of the art technology to better provide you with the care your family needs.

• By using fundus photography, we can take extremely detailed photographs of the interior of your eyes to detect signs of eye disease and monitor your overall eye health.
• We also use OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) scans to detect eye diseases. This device scans your eye by using light waves, creating a high-resolution cross-section image of the back of your eye (retina).
